Culture shock

I think I am still suffering from a sort of culture shock, unsurprisingly really having given up one comfy and established life where I shaped my own sort of reputation and had some influence which gave me a feeling of significance.
I thought this article was useful in that it confirms my feeling of queerness , always feeling on the outside of things, cut off from folk etc. It makes clear why this feeling persists even with people from my own culture and with my language. It makes some suggestions too like getting involved with voluntarily work etc.
